Milk Bags
I am kindly requesting that students bring in (rinsed) milk bags from home. We are starting a cross-curricular (Geography/Language/Religion) inquiry about Africa and these milk bags will be used for a class project in the future. Thank you for your support!

Math Prodigy and Reading
Our students logged into their Math Prodigy accounts today and seemed to enjoy it a lot! Login information will be coming home today. If computer access is available, I would encourage students to login and "play" at home a couple times a week, for 15 minutes or so. It is a great way to practice basic math facts, and the feedback I receive helps me identify concepts that require additional support or remediation.
Have a great weekend!

Suggested Supplies Wish List
It is hard to believe that we are set to begin another school year at St. Peter! It seemed like only yesterday that it was June 30th and we were packing up for summer holidays. As they say, all good things must come to an end...
Although our school will continue to provide all of the essential student supplies next year, it is always helpful to send your son or daughter with extra supplies.
The following is a list of suggested supplies that you may wish to purchase for your child:
Required:
A combination lock
A pair of non-marking running shoes and proper Phys Ed attire
One large binder with dividers
A backpack big enough to fit a binder
Recommended:
A soft pencil case
A pencil sharpener with catch container
A pair of scissors
A gluestick
A white eraser
A package of pencils and pens
A package of multicolored highlighters
Large glue sticks
A package of colour pencil crayons and/or markers
Kleenex (2 boxes)
Hand sanitizer
Personal hygiene items (e.g. deodorant)
Welcome (Back)!

To the new grade 7 students joining our class this year, welcome to St. Peter's! I know the first few days are going to be a little intimidating, but I promise you that it's going to a fantastic year! To my returning grade 8s, I've missed seeing your faces everyday and look forward to another year working together. Here's to new beginnings and adventures....
